Diana Thompson Hands On Horsecare clinics

Diana Thompson is registering students for an eight-day equine acupressure course. The course will take place on four weekends held three to four weeks apart. Students will have home study assignments to complete between the weekend classes. A maximum of fifteen students will be in the course. Several students will be able to bring their horses to class (see the horse questionnaire below).

As part of the class study materials, students will receive a class text manual that is approximately 450 pages long explaining Traditional Chinese Medicine theory and the applications of 127 acupressure points. In addition, students are required to purchase Diana’s new book: Acupressure Point Charts For Horses for study during the course. This 230-page book includes 330 photographs and 100 illustrations detailing the locations of 14 energy channels and 127 acupressure points. The book is currently available for orders (see www.dianathompson.com); estimated print date is March, 2008.

How to select and combine acupressure points to support equine health and performance including: points that prevent and reduce muscle soreness, strengthen back and hindquarter function, improve endurance, calm the nervous, angry or depressed horse, improve training focus and learning ability, prevent and ease colic, diarrhea and other digestive problems, prevent and relieve respiratory infections and fever, improve overall immune function, support digestive health, help the older horse, address hives and other skin problems and generally improve health.

Tuition for Eight Days Instruction: $875.00 tuition plus $75 materials fee (includes the 450-page text manual, worksheets and home study assignments).This materials fee does not include the cost of Acupressure Point Charts for Horses which the student needs to purchase separately.

Returning Student Discount: For students who have previously taken this class with Diana Thompson, the tuition is $450.00 plus $75 materials fee.

Payment Plan:
A registration fee of $300 is necessary by March 15, 2008, to secure a place in the class.

Once this payment received, you will be sent an extensive glossary for pre-class study.

Note: $75 of the $300 registration fee is a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit. $225 of this $300 registration fee will be returned if you give a cancellation notice by April 10, 2008.

The tuition balance of $575 plus $75 materials fee ($650 total) is due in 2 payments: $325 before the start of weekend # 1 (May 3-4) and $325 before weekend #2 May 31-June 1).

Attendance Policy: If a student has paid the full tuition and is unable to attend a class meeting, a partial refund of $25 per day is given (up to $75) and all class notes and charts will be provided.

A mapand what to bring list will be sent out to registered students prior to the first class.

Video cameras, tape recorders and cameras are not allowed during group programs.
